2 - I'd like to participate to one of the trips but I have a child who is under 10. Can he go with us?

Kids are certainly welcome on the Hot Cocoa Snowshoeing trips. These were designed for families with younger kids and people new to snowshoeing. There is really no age limit. The only real limitation is snowshoe size, the minimum shoe size being 4-5. Kids 10 and over should be fine, but it all depends on their foot size and physical ability. As for the skiing part of the package, we can only propose discount tickets for Cranmore Mountain for a child under 10. Contact us at (800) 356 3596 or email us at thelodge@north-conway.com for a quote.

3 - Can I bring my dog to one of the snowshoe trips?

Although we have dog friendly rooms (Suite 12, Room 19, Suite 24 and Suite 25) it is not easy to accommodate a dog on any group snowshoeing trip. If you want your dog to come with you, please choose the Weekday Winter Workout Package. Remember there is an additional $15/night + tax for a stay in one of our dog friendly room (please read our Policy) and EMS might charge an additional fee for your friend as well!

4 - Are the rates the same on weekends and weekdays?

Yes! We tried to simplify and offer you the BEST rates for your Winter getaways. Nevertheless, we charge an additional fee during Holiday periods (please check each package for more information)

8 - I don't want to bring any lunch or snacks. Where can I buy them in North Conway?

If you don't want to bring your own food, you can buy really good sandwiches at the Chef Market of North Conway. You can also go to the Country Vista Store, just down the road from us, which is open at 6 am and has everything to make your own sandwiches and drinks! We also sell here, on premises, some energy snack bars.

9 - What do I need to bring for a day of snowshoeing?

Dressing properly for any outdoor activity is key to enjoying the experience. Everyone should bring insulated and waterproof pants and jacket, long sleeve wicking shirts (layers), long underwear, waterproof winter hiking boots, winter hiking socks, gloves, hat, small backpack to pack water, snacks, lunch, camera, sunglasses and sense of fun and adventure! Remember, cotton is not an acceptable material for Winter because it retains moisture and provides very little insulation.Eastern Mountain Sports also provides a 20% discount shopping coupon for each participant who joins us for any activity!
